Camp Copperhead![]() This quiet little campgrounds is nestled deep inside of West Virginia and not just off an interstate. The two-lane roads are paved well enough to bring a class A camper. Vicki and Cathy Donahue are the two sisters/owners of the campsite and they are both friendly folks. You'll certainly get to meet them if you camp there. Be sure to ask about why the place is named after a poisonous snake - it is a good story! Note: it is not a snaky place... Here's the nitty-gritty: Phone: 304-758-2121 This place offers a lot of activities - especially ATVs, or 4-wheelers as they are know in these parts. There's an outdoor theater-stage by the river's edge where you can often find impromptu (and scheduled) bluegrass, home style music a-playin! Check out their website for all the camping details. Also, check out this mini-photo album we created.
