Two Ways to Advertise

We offer Internet Only advertising only and Paper/Internet.

Internet Only

The Internet Only advertising consists of only 4 places on the top of our home page, just underneath the header graphic (Go There). These are available for $500 for 6 months or $900 for 1 year and may be a GIF or JPG (animated GIF ok) that does not exceed 190x110 pixels and 150KB. These graphics will be linked to your website at no extra cost. Graphics may be changed monthly (once per month) at no extra charge. This option does not include any advertising in the monthly publication. Also, your business essentials are listed in a text based Links page.

Paper and Internet

Paper and Internet advertising consists of your prepaid ad appearing in our newspaper according to the rate/size/circulation information below. Additionally, we create a business card likeness of your advertisement (sizes vary with monitor dimensions and settings) and stack it with other advertisers in an animated GIF across the top of every page, except the home page. Clicking a stack of ads takes you to a page where all ads in the stack are presented in their full size, as constrained by the page layout (Example). These individual images are linkable and will be linked to your website as appropriate. Also, your business essentials are listed in a text based Links page.

Circulation & Distribution

Appalachian Living.com has a monthly circulation of 10,000 print copies. The magazine is distributed to readers at no charge in waiting rooms, stores, restaurants, salons, libraries, court houses, senior centers, laundromats, college campuses and other locations throughout Central West Virginia. Circulation includes numerous locations in several counties in state and out of state, including all West Virginia Welcome Centers. Our audience is unique because of our regional distribution, no cover price, and simultaneous Internet advertising. This allows us to reach more readers than other publications. Moreover, our advertising rates are cheaper!

To place an ad, call Bill at 304-532-8757. Our prices are very reasonable, include Internet ads and we will do the design work if needed. Discounts are given for 3 or more months purchased.
